My work explores the inseparability of the technological and the natural, the human-built and the non-human-built.  I strive to transform the materials of my sculptures in such a way that a space of human belonging grows within each newly created environment.  The tactile and kinesthetic aspects of process are important to my art practice, and I am fascinated by watching complexity emerge from simple, cyclical actions of my hands and tools in contact with the material.
